David joined P. J. O’Driscolls in April 2007 having previously worked for a leading UK law firm.

 

David advises a wide range of commercial clients. His work includes drafting and negotiating:

  • IT agreements in both the public and private sector

  • Intellectual property licence and assignment agreements in particular software licence and maintenance agreements

  • Issues surrounding the protection and exploitation of intellectual property (trademarks, etc)

  • Terms and conditions for the supply of goods and services with a particular emphasis on e-commerce

  • All forms of commercial agreements including distribution, franchise, and outsourcing agreements

  • Corporate mergers and acquisitions

  • Joint venture agreements

  • Venture capital investments

David is a practicing member of The Law Society of Ireland; The Law Society of England and Wales; the Society for Computers and Law; and IT@Cork, as well as having lectured with the Law Society of Ireland on Irish Information Technology Law.
